Cooling and Warming Centers in New Haven CT
Connecticut has four seasons. You want to make sure you stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Connecticut offers cooling and warming centers for anyone who is in need of shelter during severe weather conditions. A cooling center is a place in a community where you can cool down during the hot weather, especially if you do not have access to an air conditioner. Cooling centers include indoor air conditioning facilities such as libraries, community and senior centers, schools, and malls. A warming center is a short-term emergency shelter that operates when temperatures or a combination of precipitation, wind chill, wind, and temperatures become dangerously inclement. Some of these centers also have other services for individuals, families, and veterans. Here are some cooling and warming centers in New Haven CT.
